The wording is a bit redundant, yes. I phrased it that way as a counter to typical Alpha aggression which, in my observation, lends itself to taking what one wants immediately instead of exercising patience. You can’t make a habit of both delayed gratification and instant gratification so there will be a preference for one or the other.

In any case, it’s the looks, not the age, that matters. A woman 38 with looks of 9 will get more action than a woman 19 with looks of 5. Eggs are irrelevant.
Evolutionarily speaking, looks is simply a sign of fertility and genetic quality. Obviously, some older women will have greater fertility than some younger women, and some older women will have genetics that is better able to hide signs of aging and infertility. But that doesn’t change the underlying factor behind SMV: the value of eggs and wombs.
